Introduction

Hi Friends,

Here it is, I finally sat down and started my blog. Since I like to teach and coach I have had much encouragement to start this; it has just taken way too much time to get around to setting things up. I guess I should start out with a little information about myself and maybe then you can decide whether it is worth your time to follow my musings.

As far as marketing and sales, I have been at this profession for over 40 years. I was one of those kids who ordered all of the sales kits from the comic books and went door to door selling other people's products. I even sold baby pumpkins from my parent's nursery...if I could find a worthwhile product, I'd sell it. I am one of those rare individuals who likes to sell, there's a certain feeling you get when you can convince someone you've never met that they need what you have and they eventually agree.

Sales to me seems to fit into many wonderful metaphors. My favorite was when I was in radio, when I used to use a hunter gatherer term for each of my sales. If I landed a small account, I had bagged a sheep. When I signed a large account, I had gotten a water buffalo (everybody does elephant after all, lol). Anything in between would be any type of game that would assimilate the relative size of the account. Bottom line though, closing the sale has a certain adrenaline rush to it, a euphoria that can only be beat in the faith of other personal realm.

Now let's fast forward a bit. I have done sales of many kinds during my life, from flower seeds to hotel/casino packages to what I currently do, 1st Choice Family Solutions. The reasons I like 1st Choice Family Solutions are many, but let me hit on the two most important for now. First, the management subscribe to the same Judeo-Christian ethos that I do, which in the end tells me that I can trust them to treat their Agents AND their customers right. The second most important thing about 1st Choice is the services they offer, which are designed to bring families from Crisis to Prosperity. I can't think of a much better thing to do than to make money helping other people.

Gotta go for now. If you have any marketing or sales questions please don't hesitate to ask and meanwhile, please take a look at the 1st Choice websites below:
